In the Blogging World

My daughter has several blogs. She has one open to the public, her personal blog.

Pumpkin's Patch is that blog. She creatively writes about anything and everything. It's very enjoyable and wonderful to read. She has a humorous view of life. It's not just a momma's bragging either (even though I am bragging).

Currently she has 42 followers (yes, I am one of her followers, but that's still 41). She draws both adult and teen reader's. Most of which faithfully visit and comment. Some visit immediately after she posts something new.

I'm very proud of her. So if you love a good blog read, hop on over to Pumpkin's Patch! I think you'll enjoy it!

Guess What I Got...

for my birthday!

The Pioneer Woman's cookbook

I was with Audrey when she picked it out, and I had no clue! She did an excellent job picking out my birthday present! This fantastic book has wonderful recipes, funny anecdotes and beautiful pictures.

If you don't know Ree, you have to check out her website. It's about her life on a cattle ranch. If you love a good romance you also need to read her love story "Black Heels to Tractor Wheels".

So check out her website and cookbook. You won't be disappointed.

How To Train Your Dragon

Audrey had money from her Easter basket from Granny & Grandpa. She decided to use some of this money treating us to the How To Train Your Dragon in 3D movie.

The new 3D is nothing like the 3D of old.

I have one word for this movie....awesome! It has a wonderful story and beautiful artwork. I don't want to give anything, not one thing, away. So I'll just say if you have the time and money to go,
you have to.

Through The Eyes of a Child

Or I guess I should say teen. Audrey got a camera for Christmas this past year. It is so much fun to see with her eyes through the camera lens.

(All photos taken by Audrey)

This is just a small sampling of her amazing photos.

I may have to add more soon (maybe even a special feature every now and then).

A Special Thanks!

My new "Welcome" sign (seen above and at it's new home on the top of the right column) was made for me by my daughter Audrey. I think it goes perfect with my header and new background. Thanks *hugs*!!

An Awesome Find!

The other day I was browsing around some online stores. Looking for good deals for Christmas presents. I was pleasantly surprised at something I found at Home Depot.

It's a Hampton Bay 5 pc Tote Set - a picnic in a bag! The tote is very easy to carry, has an adjustable strap.

Inside the tote is the table top which is a lightweight aluminum mesh (table folds in half for easy packing), the legs and 4 cushions (with all weather seat cushion fabric) for this fabulous picnic table. The cushions are very comfortable and can be washed off with a damp cloth. The table is large enough for the 4 place settings and the food you are serving.

It's going to make picnics even more fun. I imagine us using in our backyard and at the park. I can't wait for spring!
