A Break In The Rain

 Well at least for a few minutes!

Audrey & Oliver both took advantage of  the break in the rain!

She snagged a rose thorn!

Rain + Rain + Rain... = Beautiful Flowers

I'm sure you've heard of the rhyme "April Showers Bring May Flowers".

Well this year we have had April showers and May showers (with forecasts of a lot more May showers).

However, I'm really not complaining, because the rain really has brought May Flowers!

She's So Helpful!

The other day we were standing in the drive talking with our nephew Shane (who, generously, had just finished cutting our grass). While talking we noticed that the peonies hadn't had their spent blooms removed yet. Audrey, being the wonderful helper she is, offered to do it then. With the day getting late, Shane ready to leave and us really needing to get inside, I replied "we'll get it another day".

Well, unbeknown to me, that day was today. Without instruction, or being prompted, Audrey went out and trimmed off all the spent blooms. Thinking that it would be so sweet for my blog, I grabbed the camera and much to her dismay, quickly took a picture.

Aren't we so blessed?
