Important Reminder!

Voting
by Bernard Howe

Voting is our given right,
which men have died to keep.
Voting shows our peoples might,
so our country won't get into deep.

But there are those who never vote,
and constantly seem to complain.
Patriotism they don't promote,
and their rights they choose to abstain.

Every vote does really count,
to let our officials know.
For their actions they must account,
or their ratings will never grow.

So come next election time,
go cast your vote with pride.
Voting doesn't cost a dime,
plus the out come you help decide.

So please, every one remember to vote tomorrow!

Today's Mail

Last Tuesday we got our letter telling us that we would
get the Census 2010 in our mail this week.

Well here it is...

As you can tell it's a little longer than "How many people live at your residence?"

I'm off to fill it out!

A Template Change, A Letter, and Another Bento

You should see a few changes here at MAHAH! First, I've switched the template to 3 columns. It's taking me a little while to get used to the new template! I keep looking for things on the right sidebar. With that change came a need for a new background, which I found this cute one at Hot Bliggity Blog.

 ~oOo~

In other news... we received our "letter" from the United States Department of Commerce, informing us that "in about one week, you will receive a 2010 Census form in the mail". Thanks for the warning!

~oOo~

I also tried making Audrey another bento (our first one was last Tues.). I
still haven't gone "regular" grocery shopping,
so once again, I went with what we had on hand.

Clockwise from top left: dill pickle spears, turkey, cheddar & mustard sandwiches, bbq chips, cheddar cheese sticks, the other half of her sandwich and carrot sticks with ranch.

The dressing I put in a tiny Smidget Tupperware container.
Perfect.

We Did It!

Two more votes for McCain/Palin!

We got to our voting precinct at 8:56 AM, actually found a parking spot in the lot! Then waited! There were approximately 50 to 60 people in line outside. Once we got to the front doors of the building, the line divided into four (four precincts at one church - that was crazy busy). Two of the four individual precinct lines were still really long, probably another 50 to 60 people. Ours, 23AA was non existent. We were able to walk right up, show ID, sign "at the X" and then mark our paper ballots. After marking our ballots, we then put them into an electronic scanner. Ta-da, two more votes for McCain/Palin! Back in the car at 9:38 AM.

We even got free bottled water, along with our "I Made a Difference - So Can You - Vote" sticker!

Audrey got a sticker too! To bad that couldn't be another vote for McCain/Palin, LOL!

URGENT - REMEMBER...

Voting!

Today is being dubbed "Super Tuesday Jr.", by the media! The primary elections in Rhode Island, Vermont, Ohio and Texas are today!

I hope everyone in these states have taken the time to go out and vote! Voting is a privilege that this great nation allows. So many times I hear people complaining, only to find out that they have never voted... why complain if you didn't take the time to express your opinion and cast that vote for your choices!

So, the daughter, the hubby & I bundled up (yes, SW Ohio had 70 degree F weather yesterday and today was 37) and went to vote. We picked a perfect time to go (other than the light sprinkle of rain). There were no lines to sign in, no waiting for the voting booth and no waiting to scan your ballet!

We even got a bottle of water along with our "I made a difference" sticker!

Isn't that special, LOL!
