Leftover Rice!

Audrey loves plain rice! Actually any kind of rice. She likes to have it as a snack. But rice isn't really a quick snack! Unless you already have it on hand!

It's easy to do. When ever you make rice, make extra.

Put freezer wrap into a perfect size bowl or muffin tins work great!

Fill it,

press it,

wrap it!

I usually put another layer of freezer wrap,

then into a freezer bag with the contents and date written on it!

Ta-da , next time you or someone wants rice for lunch or a snack. (Great in a packed lunch too, if there's a microwave) Pull one out & throw it into the microwave. Everyone's microwave is different but start with 2-3 mins. Squish the ball of rice around (CAUTION it will be very hot at some point!)

Low-Carb Snacks : Homemade Baked Cheese Crisps Recipe

I just found this fantastic snack! It's super quick & easy and you can "customize" it to your own favorite flavors! They're great to snack on when you really have the need to "munch"! They will also satisfy actual hunger, which is always a good quality for a FOOD.

All you need for this wonderful snack is cheese! That's right cheese, any kind you like! Well, a cookie sheet, parchment paper (I was out of parchment so I used silpat) and an oven is also needed.

We used shredded cheddar and a shredded "pizza" mix (mozzarella, Romano & parmigiana)! You can mix in favorite seasoning's too! If you're using brick/block cheese, slice it and break or cut it into little squares. About an inch in size is good. Shredded you pile in little heaps.

Put it on the middle rack of a 350 degree oven and bake 5 to 7 minutes till brown. If not brown they will be chewy and not crisp!
Remove to a cooling rack or plate. Once cool...

They're crisp and tasty!

I hope you try these, they're fantastic!

My Nieces Baby Shower!

My niece Britainy is due May 23rd! We're all so excited.

Britainy asked me to make this for her shower, so of course auntie said 'OK'!
Not back for my first try at the watermelon baby carriage!

My 'famous' cheese ball. I've had this recipe since freshman home economics class!

My mom's punch, Britainy's favorite!

Gifts as decorations too!
The three on the left are nieces. Oh how I love them! (Janie, Cassidy & Avery)
Britainy (center) talking with her high school cheerleader coach!
Avery's pretty long hair!

"Put this plate on your head and draw Britainy & Mat's baby, without lifting your marker."
So we tried,

and tried!

Mine looked like a baby turtle.

Avery's baby was cute (she didn't put her's on her head!)

Britainy and her helpers!

I always wrap my baby gifts with a blanket. They get an extra present and
you don't have to through any paper away!
A football hat, so cute!

More cute outfits!
A cute little penguin! I had a lot more pictures of cute presents she had but
I know you don't want to see every one of them.
Believe me, It's cute nieces and cute baby presents!

A tired mom & dad!
Dad must have been really tired! He feel asleep!
They had more than their car could carry! A very good day!

First Part of April's Update!

The beginning of April found us at my Mom & Dad's.
Which meant not only being with them but Ali and then Janie on 4 days of the week!
Ali relaxing after Janie left one evening!
Janie making Ali play dress-up too!
Cousins - Audrey & Janie both having cereal. Did you notice they are sitting like twins?
Cousins - Janie & Avery chatting in Granny & Grandpa's backyard!
Look at Janie' yellow nose! Now that's some pollen!
On the Third Mitzi came by with Avery to see Granny & Grandpa & to let Avery play with Janie!
Of course the girls love to swing!
Avery changed out of her princess dress to swing!

Janie always has her baby and little dog!
April 5th was the Cincinnati Reds opening day! My niece Britainy and her beau Mat was going to the game so she wanted to show her fan spirit, so she had Mr. Redlegs airbrushed onto her baby belly.
They got so much attention! She made it onto the jumbotron, and three times on one of the local news station's coverage of the game!

Of course we thought she look adorable!
Daisy stayed with us while they were at the game!

Janie's snack - yummy apple!
I'm just adding another cute one of Ali!

Catching Up...

Hi, thought I'd give you a little "catch up with pictures" post!
Enjoy!

~♥~

My Dad's birthday was the day before Thanksgiving.
Audrey & I went to my Mom & Dad's to help with the meal and
give Dad his coconut creme pie!

~♥~

Audrey's crazy "hand" person!

Wearing Hyacinth's (her BJD) wig!

~♥~

December 1st was Rudy's birthday! His cake was a work of love!
Audrey took these red, pink, white & blue heart sprinkles...

and picked out all the white & blue!

His cake was blue swirled.

She even stuffed a tiny pocket full of little white heart sprinkles
(and Rudy got that piece of cake!!)!

Beautiful and delicious!

Hope you enjoy this quick little update!
